Surprisingly, or rather not too surprisingly because it was just following the norm for the time being, the 4th of July was pretty dull. I finally got to sleep in until 12:30. Normally I have to get up somewhere between 4:30 and 6:30 because I have to watch my sister. It was, on the whole, a bad idea to sleep in because my mom's fiance (he's not my dad, and not my stepdad yet either) got mad at me for not helping make dinner. Wtf? It's not even the evening yet, why the heck would you be making dinner so early? It didn't really matter though because when I offered to help he just got mad that I hadn't offered when he had actually needed help.
The celebration was kinda cool. We went to the waterfront and watched the fireworks display in Port Orchard. We ate icecream and watched the huge fireworks and then went home and to bed. I hadn't even been up for 12 hours yet so I could not sleep at all. I can't wait until I don't have to get up early every morning to babysit my sister all day. I can't wait until my bf gets back from Oregon. It should be illegal for summer to be this boring.
